Police Blotter: Battery Reports and House Burglary

Taken from the Barrington police reports.

BATTERY REPORTS

Police took a report  on Jan. 23, of a battery that occurred at a holiday party the previous night, in the 100 block of South Cook Street.

On Jan. 24, a man reported being battered during a basketball game in the 1600 block of East Main Street, two days prior.

A 16-year-old male juvenile from Fox River Grove was charged with battery, Jan. 27, at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released and given a Cook County court date of March 12.

On Jan. 25, a juvenile reported being battered by another juvenile, after school in the 100 block of Lageschulte Street.

FRAUD

On Jan. 25, a woman who lost her wallet reported that fraudulent checks were written in the 100 block of West Northwest Highway.

 

IDENTITY THEFT

An identity theft report was taken from a resident in the 800 block of Covington Drive, Jan. 26, who reported the social security number of her toddler being used by a third party, in an attempt to open a bank account.

 

NO VALID LICENSE

Erika Garcia, age 32, of 41 Laurel Trail, Wheeling, IL was arrested for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and speeding at 500 W. Northwest Hwy., Jan. 26. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Feb. 27.

 

DUI

On Jan. 26, Erin M. Morgen, age 28, of 8914 Grand Avenue, #2N, River Grove, IL was arrested for DUI, BAC over .08, speeding, disobeyed traffic control signal and improper lane usage at Main St. and Tall Trees. She  was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 17.

 

LEWD ACTIONS AND DISORERLY CONDUCT

A 17-year -old female juvenile from South Barrington was charged with lewd obscene actions at 200 Applebee St. She  was released to parents.

A 17 –year-old male from Chicago was charged with disorderly conduct at 200 Applebee St. He was released to parents.

 

HOUSE BURGLARY

A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of Coolidge Ave, Jan. 28. Access was gained by forced entry through a rear door. Items missing include jewelry, silverware, and a copper urn containing son’s ashes.
