Attempted Burglary
An employee of Mr. Duct Cleaning, 141 S. Northwest Highway, reported finding pry marks on the door of the business on April 13. The situation appears to be an attempted burglary.
Lost or Stolen Item
A clarinet worth $1,500 was reported lost or stolen at St. Anne’s School, 319 East Franklin Street, on April 13.
Bounced Check
On April 14, Phillip’s Menswear, 100 East Station Street, reported receiving a check from a closed account for $326.
Abandoned Vehicle
An unknown suspect stole a car from Don Jacobs Service, 128 W. Liberty Street, and later abandoned it at Barrington Volvo, 300 N. Hough Street. The incident happened on April 14.
Disorderly Conduct
Kailyn Fischer, 18, was charged with disorderly conduct at Barrington High School on April 14. Fischer’s court date is set for May 2.
Theft
Two 16-year-old boys were given a juvenile disposition for stealing on April 17. The first boy was charged with theft of firewood at the 200 block of North Hough Street. The second teenager was charged with theft of firewood, lumber and mulch at the same address.
