Computer Scam

A computer scam was reported, April 15, in the 100 block of South Northwest Highway, when a resident reported a computer virus from a chat site that demanded money to remove the virus.

Theft of Copper Tubing

Theft of copper tubing from a construction site was reported, April 16, located in the 100 block of South Cook Street. The copper was valued at $5,000 or more.

Ice Machine Stolen

A theft report was taken, April 19, at Americas Best Value Inn, 405 West Northwest Highway, the ice machine was discovered missing and water lines cut on the first floor common area.

Suspicious Person Talks to Teen

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 900 block of East Main Street, April 16. A Hispanic male in a silver sedan attempted to speak to a 16 year‐old girl when she got off the school bus.

Mail Truck Damaged

A US Postal employee reported having the passenger side window of the mail truck shattered by unknown person(s) while delivering mail on foot, April 16.
