Police Blotter: DUI Arrests and Other Driving Offenses

Sept. 7: Anthony G. Warren, 35, of Acorn Lane, Cary, was charged with possession of cannabis at Liberty Street and North Avenue. The subject was released and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 23, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Sept. 8: Edmund S. Kreis, 54, of W. Penny Road, South Barrington, was arrested for DUI, failure to signal, improper turn, improper lane usage and no insurance at Barrington Road and Hillside Avenue. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 23, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Sept. 8: Michael P. Karasch, 42, of Foster Circle, Algonquin, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage at Main Street and Raymond Street. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct.  10, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Sept. 9: Sara R. Bartsch, 26, of New Haven Drive, Cary, was arrested for DUI, speeding, no insurance, no driver’s license on person and failed to yield to emergency vehicle at Route 14 and Hillside Road. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 10, 2012 at 9 a.m. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at Route 14 and Route 68. Her adjudication hearing for that charge is on Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. 

Sept. 10: Evelyn Guerrero, 32, of S. Honore Street, Chicago, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and improper passing at Hough and Station Streets. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date on Oct. 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. 

Sept. 12: Jacob U. Gordon Jr., 49, of Hinman Avenue, Evanston, was arrested for driving on a suspended license, no insurance and suspended license plates at Route 14 and Main Street. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

Sept. 13: Francis J. Romano IV, 43, of E. Randville, Palatine, was arrested for driving while license suspended, expired registration, no insurance and suspended license plates at Route 14 and Hillside Avenue. The subject was released and bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. 

Sept. 16: Vernon C. Heinz II, 44, of Falcon Court, Rolling Meadows, was arrested for DUI, BAC over .08, speeding and expired driver’s license at Route 14 and Hart Road. The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 23, 2012 at 9 a.m.
