Police Blotter: DUI, Tobacco Sales to Minor

Taken from this week's Barrington police reports.

 

DUI 

On Feb. 20, Andrew M. Reese, 21, of 377 W. Margaret Terrace, Cary, was arrested for DUI, BAC over .08, speeding and no insurance at Route 14 and Lake Cook Rd. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 30.

UNLAWFUL SALE OF TOBACCO

Anthony T. White, age 39, of 448 W. Russell St. Barrington was cited for unlawful sale of tobacco to a minor, Feb. 24, at 106 N. Northwest Hwy.  The subject was given a Cook County court date of April 12.

Tapan A. Joshi, age 18, of 1325 Devonshire Ln. Hoffman Estates was also cited for unlawful sale of tobacco to a minor at 1205 S. Northwest Hwy. He was given a court date of March 12.

 

HARASSMENT

On Feb. 23, a female reported that a male subject who was parked next to her at the train station, located at 201 Spring Street, stood behind her car on Feb. 22, 2012 and would not let her back out of her space. 

 

THEFT

 A theft of a cell phone was reported, Feb. 20, at Prairie Middle School, located at 40 East Dundee Road. The theft occurred in September, 2011. 

On Feb. 23, a ring was reported missing from a residence in the 200 block of Coolidge Avenue.

 

THREATENING TEXTS

A Barrington High School student reported receiving threatening texts from an unknown party on Feb. 22.
