Police Blotter: Fraud and Driving 40 MPH Over the Speed Limit

Fraud

On Jan. 30,  police responded to the Barrington Bank and Trust, 201 South Hough St., for a fraud report when several online purchases were made to the business debit account.

On Feb. 4, a resident of the 1300 block of Lake Shore Drive South reported fraud when the $5000 deposit sent to reserve a boat in Florida was not requested or received by the company.  

Disorderly Conduct

On Jan. 30,  Timothy L. Hoeller, 51, of 618A N. Hough St. Barrington, was arrested for

disorderly conduct at his home.  He was released on bond and given a Lake County court date of Feb. 22. 

Trespassing   

On Jan. 30, Christopher J. Carney, 43, of 19 Wynstone Way, North Barrington, was cited for trespass on railroad property at 201 Spring St. He was given a Cook County court date of March 19.

Speeding

On Jan. 30, Atif Hussain, 20, of 1592 Manchester Dr. Hoffman Estates, was arrested for driving 40 MPH or more over the post speed limit and defective windshield.    He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 12.

Injured Deer

Police responded to an injured deer in the 1000 block of South Northwest Highway, Jan. 31. Due to the extent of the injuries, the deer had to be put down.

Identity Theft

A resident of the 200 block of Eastern Avenue reported identity theft, Jan. 31, when someone used their social security number to open a ComEd account.

Theft   

On Feb. 2, a 14 year-old male juvenile from Carpentersville was charged with theft of mislaid property at 616 W. Main St.   The subject was released and given a Cook County court date of March 12.
