Police Blotter: Halloween Theft, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Stolen Property:

The owner of Village Cycle Sport reported that three copper downspout gutters were taken off of the building on Oct. 31. The value is $150.

A resident of the 500 block of Concord Lane reported damage to a vehicle and driveway. Eggs were smashed on the driveway, vehicle and inside of the fuel tank. The tires and hubcaps of the vehicle were spray painted. Estimated damages are $1,500.

A resident of the 900 block of Williamsburg Park reported BB gun holes in two of the property’s windows and orange spray paint on the fence on Nov. 2.

The rear window of a vehicle was broken out in the 600 block of Bent Ridge Lane on Nov. 6.

DUI:

Kelly E. Condon, 28, of Lake Forest, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and failure to signal at 400 N. Northwest Highway on Nov. 1. She was released and given a Cook County court date of Nov. 17.

Jennifer L. Hutton, 49, of Chicago, was arrested on Nov. 2 for aggravated DUI, DWLS, no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage at Route 14 and Washington Street. Her next court date is Dec. 6.

Paul Reuben Duffie, 41, of the 21000 block of N. Woodlane Avenue, was arrested on Nov. 4 for DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and failure to signal at Route 14 and Western Avenue. He was released and given a Cook County court date of Nov. 28.

Driving Without a License:

Saul Gonzalez, 24, of Palatine, was arrested for driving without a license and speeding at Route 14 and Hillside Ave. on Nov. 1. He was released and given a Cook County court date of Dec. 9.

Speeding:

Justin J. Somerville, 28, of Palatine, was arrested on Nov. 5 for driving more than 30 miles per hour over the posted speed limit on Route 14 and Dundee Road. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Nov. 28.
