Police Blotter: Jewel-Osco Shoplifters Arrested

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Driving Without a Valid License:

Maria S. Perez, 32, of Wauconda, was arrested on March 20 for driving without a valid license, speeding and improper lane usage at Route 59 and Route 14. She was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of May 9.

Merrick E. McNames, 21, of Algonquin wand Desiree V. Logan, 18, of Tower Lakes, were arrested for theft at Jewel-Osco, 150 W. Main St. on March 20. They were released and given a Cook County court date of April 26.

Jeffrey A. Short, 49, of the 200 block of Hillside Ave., was arrested for driving on a suspended license, disobeying a traffic control device and blocking a railroad crossing at Hillside Ave. and Route 14. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of April 26.

Possession of Cannabis and Drug Paraphernalia:

Randall S. Oehlerking, Jr., 28, of the 100 block of W. Russell St., was arrested on March 22 for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at Coolidge Ave. and Dundee Ave. He was released and given a Cook County court date of April 12.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:

A 17-year-old boy from South Barrington, a 16-year-old boy from Lake Barrington and a 17-year-old boy from North Barrington were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of alcohol at Route 59 and Cuba Road. They were released and given a Cook County court date of May 9.

Burglary to Motor Vehicles:

Two vehicles parked on the 500 block of Shorely Drive on March 24 had their front and passenger windows smashed out and items were taken from them.

Damaged Motorcycle:

A motorcycle was damaged while parked in a garage in the 100 block of Oak Ridge Circle on March 25.
