Police Blotter: Jewel-Osco Shoplifters Arrested and More

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

July 7:  Kristopher B. Van Sydow, age 25, of Bighorn Ct., South Barrington,  was arrested for domestic battery at Ela Road and Route 14. The subject was taken to Lake County bond call.

July 8: A resident in the 100 block of West Hillside Avenue reported a digital camera and a video camera taken from their home while it was under construction.

July 8: Lindsey A. Tortorello, age 51, and Donna M. Walsh, 48 both of North Kedzie Avenue, Chicago, were arrested for felony retail theft at Jewel-Osco. They were taken to Lake County bond call and issued a $5,000/D bond.

July 9: A resident in the 1000 block of Garlands Lane reported unknown persons filling and picking up the complainant’s prescriptions for their own use.

July 9: A resident in the 300 block of Beverly Road relinquished boxes of ammunition to be destroyed.

July 9: Felicia M. Castiglione, age 33, of Devon Avenue, Hanover Park, was arrested for driving on a suspended license, no insurance, improper lane usage and failure to notify secretary of state at Hough and Station Streets.  The subject was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Aug. 3, 2012 at 9 a.m.

July 9: Trevor M. Wukasch, age 29, of Maple Street, Elmhurst, was arrested for possession of controlled substance, DUI, BAC over .08, speeding and no insurance at Barrington Road and Illinois Avenue. The subject was taken to Lake County bond call and issued a $10,000/D bond.

July 10: A bicycle was reported stolen from the Metra train station, located at 201 South Spring Street.

July 11: A home under construction in the 200 block of Cold Spring Road was burglarized and tools were removed.

July 11: A resident in the 1500 block of South Grove Avenue reported finding a bicycle, which was then placed into storage at the Village of Barrington Public Works garage.

July 11: A student at Barrington High School, located at 616 West Main Street, reported a lost iPhone.

July 12: A burglary to motor vehicle report was taken from a resident at Alden Estates, located at 1420 South Barrington Road, when a window on a vehicle was broken and a purse removed.

July 14: A wooden fence was damaged in the 100 block of North Glendale Avenue.

July 14: Two carry-on luggage bags were taken at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 South Northwest Highway.
