Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Purse from Car

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

No Valid Driver’s License:

Miguel Farias, 18, of the 400 block of June Terrace, was arrested on June 19 for driving without a valid license, following too closely, failure to reduce, no insurance and windshield obstruction at Cook and Main Streets. Farias will appear in court on July 14.

DUI:

Silvia Suarez, 43, of Hainesville, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage at Route 68 and Barrington Road on June 26. Suarez’ court date is scheduled for July 14.

Paul A. Izban, 51, of Schaumburg, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and improper turn at Route 14 and Hough St on June 3. His court date is July 14.

Driving on a Suspended License:

Spring Grove resident Michael Schultheis, 38, was arrested on June 29 for driving with a suspended license, no rear registration plate cover and registration plate covered at Hough St. and Coolidge Ave. His court date is set for July 27.

Theft and Criminal Trespass:

Fox River Grove resident Thomas White, Jr., 27, was arrested on June 29 for theft and criminal trespass to a vehicle at 189 W. Northwest Highway after allegedly stealing a purse from a car. His court date is July 19.

Fraud/Identity Theft:

A person asked Barrington Bank & Trust to transfer $602,000 from a line of credit into a checking account on July 4. The account owner was notified of the incident when a bank representative called to confirm the request. The account owner stopped the transaction and no money was moved.

Unlawful Possession/Discharge of Fireworks:

Edward B. Olszanksi, 34, of the 100 block of George St., was cited for unlawful possession/discharge of fireworks on July 4. His court date is August 29.
