Police Blotter: Man Dressed as Batman Warned for Harassment

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Driving on a suspended license:

Austin A. Denten, 20, of the 27000 block of W. Henry Lane was arrested on Feb. 16 for driving on a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, failure to yield, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Algonquin resident Sonam D. Zaveri, age 23, was arrested on Feb. 24 for driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, speeding and improper lane usage.

Jamie M. Crow, 22, of Rolling Meadows, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, disregarding a traffic signal, and failure to carry a driver’s license.

Driving without a license:

Juan P. Monroy, 19, of Hoffman Estates, was arrested for driving without a license on Feb. 25. He was also cited for having a defective muffler and operating a vehicle without wipers.

Battery:

Hoffman Estates resident Tiffany A. Horton, age 28, was charged with battery on Feb. 25 at 227 W. Northwest Highway. She is expected to appear in court on March 17.

Criminal damage to property:

The side mirror of a vehicle was broken off and shattered in several places on March 2. The incident happened on the 200 block of Hillside Avenue.

Theft:

Two 16-year-old Barrington High School students were charged with theft at the school on March 2. They are both expected to appear in court on March 30.

A student’s cell phone was reported stolen from Prairie Middle School on March 3.

Harassment:

A man dressed in a Batman costume was warned for harassing people at Bataille Academie of the Danse on March 3. He was told not to return or he would be arrested for trespassing.

Drug charges:

A 17-year-old was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia at 50 Rotary Dr. on March 4. The boy is scheduled to appear in court on April 19.
