Police Blotter: Phone Harassment, Disorderly Conduct

PHONE HARRASSMENT

John P. Byrns, age 18, of 4390 N. Cottonwood Trail Hoffman Estates,  was cited for harassment by phone and harassment by electronic communication at 616 W. Main St., Dec. 31 He was given a Cook County court date of Jan. 27.

A 17-year-old male from North Barrington was cited for harassment by phone and harassment by electronic communication at 616 W. Main St., Dec. 31. He was given a Cook County court date of Jan. 27.

THEFT

A laptop computer was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of West Lincoln Ave., Jan.5.  The computer was valued at $800.

A theft report was made when $525 cash was discovered missing from a safe at Roslyn Road School, 224 Roslyn Rd., Jan. 5.

A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle while parked in the lot at Jewel Food Store, 150 West Main St., Jan. 7. The purse and contents were valued at $50. 

DiSORDERLY CONDUCT

Taris M. Stokes, age 46, of 300 S. Sherman, Clinton, IL, was cited for disorderly conduct at 320 Franklin St. The subject  was given a Cook County court date Jan. 27. 

DUI

On Jan. 3, Mark A. Landwer, age 42, of 733 S. Prairie Ave. Barrington, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and no proof of insurance at 401 N. Northwest Hwy. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Feb. 27. 

OTHER REPORTS

On Jan. 3, a window was reported broken in the 100 block of Lions Drive.

A resident in the 300 block of North Valley Court turned in a steak knife, after locating it in the front yard of the residence, Jan. 4.

A student reported on Jan. 4 being unable to locate a leather jacket left in a restroom at Barrington High School, 616 West Main Street. The jacket is valued at $495.00.

Graffiti was spray painted on a building at 495 West Northwest Highway, Jan. 6.

Damage to an outdoor gazebo door was reported at Pepsico, 617 West Main St., Jan. 6.

 Pry marks were discovered on an entry door within a garage in the 300 block of Sharon Dr., Jan. 6

Police took a report of a found iPod, in front of the Catlow Theater, located at 116 West Main St., Jan. 1 The device was placed into evidence for safe‐keeping.

 A woman reported receiving threatening texts from an ex‐boyfriend, near Citizens Park, Jan. 2.
