Police Blotter: Rolex Watch Stolen, Children Left In Car

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol:

Chicago resident Christopher J. Strong, 23, was arrested March 5 for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage.

Philip A. Meyer, 46 of Schaumburg was arrested for driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic control device March 5.

Stolen Property:

A person attending a private party at McGonigal’s Pub reported his Rolex watch and wedding ring were stolen after he took the jewelry off and set it on a table. The watch is valued at $4,000 and the ring is valued at $400.00.

Trespassing:

A 16-year-old girl an 17-year-old boy were cited for trespassing on railroad property on March 10. The pair were found walking on the Canadian National railway tracks.

Fire:

A garbage can caught on fire in the men’s bathroom at the Barrington Metra Station on March 10. The fire had burned itself out before police and fire officials arrived.

Unattended Children:

Two small children were left unattended in a car parked at the Jewel-Osco parking lot on March 11. When police arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:

Bretton A. Seeger, 19, of the 27000 block of W. Cuba Rd., was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor on March 12. He is expected to appear in court March 30.

Possession of Drugs:

A 17-year-old boy was cited for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia on March 12. His court date is April 19.

Property Damage:

Garage walls and a lawn sign were spray painted at 700 Concord Lane March 12. The resident also reported that the trunk of his car had been spray painted.

Criminal Damage to Property:

A rock was thrown through a window at Orchard Church on March 12. Damages are estimated at $500.00
