Police Blotter: Several Shoplifting Cases, Drunk Driving Arrests

DUI/Driving Under the Influence of Drugs

On Feb. 14, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for speeding and driving under the influence of drugs at the intersection of Dundee Rd. and Sunset Rd.  His court date is set for March 17.

Adam D. Westby, age 27, of the 900 block of Fairway Circle, was arrested on Feb. 17 for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for having no insurance and improper lane usage. Westby is due in court on March 3.

Jamie L. Moore, 26, of Algonquin, was arrested for DUI, improper turn, and disobeying a stop sign on Feb. 20. Moore has a court date of March 30.

Driving on a Revoked License:

Riverdale resident Ronnie Ceasar, 44, was arrested for driving on a revoked license, unlawful possession of stolen/counterfeit temporary registration, improper use of registration, no seat belt, no insurance, speeding, improper lane usage, and driving in the wrong lane. It happened at Lake Cook Road and Dundee Road on Feb. 18. Ceasar’s court date is March 9.

Theft

A necklace was stolen from a display case at a shop on the 200 block of South Cook Street on Feb. 21

Police responded to a retail theft in the 100 block of West Main Street on Feb. 24.

On Feb. 26, a retail theft was reported in the 200 block of Applebee Street. The suspect took off with men’s clothing from the store.
