Police Blotter: Suspicious Person at Bank, Harassing Phone Calls

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

On Feb. 6, police responded to a report of a suspicious person at The Bank of America, located at 550 N. Hough Street, when a 58-year-old male wearing a flannel shirt and cargo pants, carrying a messenger bag, entered and exited the bank several times, asking the same questions each time. When police arrived, the subject was gone. A search of the immediate area and the subject’s last known address, were negative.

JUVENILE INCIDENTS
Two male juveniles, 12 and 13, were charged with theft at 215 Eastern Avenue. Both subjects were released and referred to peer jury.

On Feb. 10, a 15-year-old male juvenile from South Barrington was charged with disorderly conduct at 616 W. Main St. He was released and given a Cook County court date of March 12.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
Police took a telephone harassment report from a resident in the 700 block of South Summit Street, who is reportedly being harassed by the landlord.

On Feb. 9, police took a telephone harassment report from a resident in the 400 block of Berry Road.

BATTERY
Javier Garcia‐Botello, 42, of 653 Alida, Cary, was arrested for battery at 1600 E. Main St. on Feb. 10. He was released on bond and given a Lake County court date of March 7.

On Feb. 10, a 15-year-old male juvenile from South Barrington was charged with disorderly conduct at 616 W. Main St. He was released and given a Cook County court date of March 12.

UNLAWFUL VISITATION
An unlawful visitation interference report was taken at 400 N. Northwest Highway, Feb. 10. The child custody exchange occurred 25 minutes late due to bad weather conditions.
