Police Blotter: Teens Charged with Marijuana Offenses

Trespassing:

A 15-year-old Barrington boy was charged with trespassing on railroad property behind the Icehouse Mall on April 23. He was released and assigned to peer jury.

A resident in the 800 block of South Grove Avenue reported having a rock thrown through the window of a vehicle that was parked on the street. The incident happened on April 23.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:

Kevin M. Mancuso, 43, of Cary, was arrested for possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass to state land at 400 N. Northwest Highway. The incident happened on April 23. He was released on bond and given a Lake County court date of May 9.

DUI:

Marilyn S. Powell, 75 of Carriage Trail, was arrested for DUI, failure to reduce speed and improper turn at Carriage Trail and Route 59. It happened on April 26. She was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of June 12.

Failure to Notify Secretary of State of Address Change:

Joseph J. Carani, 50, of Fox Lake, was arrested for speeding and failure to notify the Secretary of State’s office of address change. It happened on April 26 at 201 S. Grove Avenue. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of June 12.

Disorderly Conduct:

Three 14-year-old boys from Barrington and South Barrington were charged with disorderly conduct on April 27 at Oak Street and Magnolia Road. They were released to their parents and assigned to peer jury.

Possession of Cannabis:

A 17-year-old Barrington boy was charged with possession of cannabis at 50 Rotary Drive on April 28. He was released and given a Cook County court date of May 22.

A 16-year-old Barrington girl and a 15-year-old Barrington girl were both charged with using cannabis during the same incident. They were released and given a Cook County court date of May 22.
