Police Blotter: Theft of Mink; Teens Caught with Cannabis

Taken from this week's Barrington police reports.

THEFTS

Double Exposure Elite Resale shop, 706 South Northwest Highway, reported the theft of a Mink Russian Sable long coat on Dec. 10. It was valued at $5000.

On Dec. 5, a theft report was made at the Shell Gas Station, 100 West Northwest Highway, by a customer whose purse was taken while left outside by the gas pump.

The front and rear license plates were removed from a vehicle that had been traded in, while parked in the rear parking lot of Motor Werks, 1475 South Barrington Rd., on Dec. 7.

On Dec. 8, the Citgo Gas Station, 205 North Northwest Highway, reported a subject pumped $60.01worth of gas into a vehicle and left without paying for the gas.

 A former resident of the 400 block of East Main Street moved out of state. She reported on Dec. 9, while unloading the furniture e she discovered her new desk chair had been replaced with an inexpensive old chair.  

 

TEENS AND DRUG CHARGES

On Dec. 6, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Carpentersville, was cited for disorderly conduct, under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis, less then 30 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.    He was released and given a Cook County court date of Dec. 22.    

In an unrelated incident, three other male teens were cited on drug charges at Barrington High School, Dec. 6.  A 15-year-old male juvenile from North Barrington, was cited for disorderly conduct and under the influence of cannabis. A 15-year-old male juvenile from Lake Barrington, was cited for disorderly conduct, under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis, less then 30 grams.   A 15-year-old male juvenile from Carpentersville, was cited for disorderly conduct and being under the influence of drugs.   The three were released and given Cook County court dates of Dec. 22.
