Police Blotter: White Powder in Mailbox, Shoplifting at Peter Daniel

Reports from the Barrington Police Department.

Suspicious Activity:

A resident of the 800 block of Fairfax Court reported suspicious activity on April 16 when a plastic bag of medication capsules and white powder were found in their mailbox.

No Valid Driver’s License:

Edgar Prado-Robles, 28, of the 400 block of West Russell Street, was arrested for no valid driver’s license, improper backing, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a train signal at Hillside Avenue and Route 14. The incident occurred on April 17. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of May 30.

Sean C. Sjurset, 39, of Genoa, was arrested on April 18 for driving on a suspended license, speeding and failure to notify the Secretary of State of an address change. The incident happened at Barrington Road and Cornell Road. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of May 30.

Stolen Property:

A patron of Good Shepherd Health and Fitness Center reported a wallet being stolen from a locker in the men’s locker room. The locker was reportedly locked at the time of the incident on April 18.

A child’s scooter was reported stolen from a driveway on Elm Road on April 19.

Damaged Property:

Damage was reported to two vehicles parked at Barrington High School on April 19.

Theft:

A theft of clothing totaling approximately $2,500 was reported at Peter Daniel in the Icehouse Mall on April 20.

A customer’s wallet was stolen off of a table at McDonald’s on April 21.
