Trial Date Set for Deputy Charged With Soliciting Sex, Obstruction

A 33-year-old suspended Lake County Sheriff's Office deputy will be heading to trial on charges of obstructing justice and solicitation of sex, according to the Daily Herald.

The trial for Eric Francke of Antioch is scheduled to start on Dec. 2 and he could face up to three years in prison on the obstructing justice charge for allegations that he destroyed evidence "in order to thwart his own prosecution," according to the article.

The allegations stem from traffic stop by Mundelein police on April 2 when a female in the vehicle told officers that she had been forced to "work as a prostitute" for two other people in the vehicle, Aaron Thurmond, 23, and his brother, Jeffrey Horton, 27, according to the Daily Herald.
