Update: North Barrington Man Stabbed at Lake Zurich McDonald's Parking Lot

Police seek information; cash award may be available.

Update: Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m. from Lake Zurich Patch

Commander David Bradstreet of the Lake Zurich Police Dept. confirmed that the victim of yesterday's stabbing is a resident of North Barrington. He said the victim was stabbed twice, was bleeding and he believes that he is still in Good Shepherd Hospital. Good Shepherd Hospital could not release any information.

Bradstreet said police are studying surveillance videos from the McDonald's parking lot, however, the specific area where the incident occurred was not under surveillance.

Bradstreet said the department has leads on the crime that they are following. Police continue to ask the public for help in solving this crime. Witnesses or people who know anything about the incident should call police at  847-719-1695.

Lake Zurich Police just issued a news release that a stabbing occured early this morning in the parking lot of the McDonalds on 653 S. Rand Rd., in Lake Zurich.

According to the release, at approximately 1:53 a.m., the Lake Zurich Police Department was notified that a 21-year-old male subject was stabbed in the parking lot of the McDonalds. The victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen with an unknown type of knife and received treatment for his injuries at Good Shepherd Hospital.

The offender was described as a male white, approximately 17-22 years of age. He is said to be tall and thin with short brown hair and no facial hair. The offender left the scene in a dark-colored passenger car.

A passenger in the front passenger seat of the offender’s vehicle is described as a male white, also 17-22 years of age. He is said to have curly light brown hair. A witness said he was tall and thin and wore “skater” clothing.

The Lake Zurich Police Department is requesting that anyone with information please contact the Lake Zurich Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 847-719-1695. Individuals may provide information anonymously. Individuals who provide valid information may also be eligible to receive a cash reward for their information.
