VIDEO: Police Helicopter Lands To Investigate Body In Pond

Cook County Forest Preserve Police and Cook County authorities are investigating after a body was found in Penny Road Pond July 6.

Cook County Forest Preserve Police along with the Cook County authorities are investigating after a dead body was found in Penny Road Pond near South Barrington today.

The naked body of a black man believed to be in his early 20s was discovered by someone walking in the Forest Preserve around 9 a.m. The witness told authorities the body was partially submerged in the water. 

At 1 p.m. a police helicopter landed in the middle of Penny Road for further investigation. We’re told officials on board the helicopter were flown in to take photos of evidence in and around the pond.

A spokesperson for the forest preserve said no identification was found on or near the body. A cause of death has not yet been established.
