Barrington Approves Request for BHS Homecoming Parade

Expect road closures on Oct. 5 in downtown Barrington.

Barrington will show its school spirit on Oct. 5 with the annual homecoming parade through Main Street.

The village approved a request from Barrington High School for the use of the streets, closure of state routes and a waiver of fees and expenses including personnel services.

Main Street and Route 59 will be closed from approximately 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as the parade begins northbound at Wood Street to Main Street, westbound on Main Street to Hart Road. The route continues north on Hart Road into BHS’s west lot.

This year’s Homecoming theme is Under the Sea: The Great Barrington Reef. The BHS varsity Broncos will play Fremd High School at 2 p.m. on Homecoming.
