Barrington Village Attorney Honored on Retirement

Ed Springer retired from 22 years of village service on April 22.

Ed Springer, who served as village attorney for the village of Barrington since 1991, retired on Monday and was honored at the village board meeting. 

In a proclamation, Village President Karen Darch said Springer was loyal, courteous and professional. 

Village trustees congratulated Springer on his retirement.

"You've been a rock, especially during times that got stormy," trustee Jim Daluga said. 

Springer thanked the village. "Working for Barrington was wonderful; it was a strong, career-building opportunity," he said.
