Darch Wins Village President Over Write-in: Election 2013 Results
Incumbent Village President Karen Darch was challenged by write-in candidate Mike Kozel.

Karen Darch ended election evening with 644 votes in Lake County and 627 votes in Cook County.

Barrington Village President Karen Darch appears to have won over write-in candidate Mike Kozel, according to the Daily Herald.
With 5 of 6 Cook County precincts reporting, Darch had 444 votes out of 728 ballots cast. Darch had 535 votes in Lake County with all precincts reporting and both Darch and Kozel agreed she had the majority, according to the Daily Herald.
The results of a write-in challenge by Mike Kozel to incumbent Village President Karen Darch will be delayed.
Final tallies for write-in votes in Lake County will be posted tommorrow.
According to the Cook County Clerk,votes for write-in candidates will not be available until after the canvas, which will begin the week following the election.
