Dold Outraises Schneider by $135,396

Intensity increases in race for 10th District seat.

Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) outraised his Democratic opponent, Brad Schneider of Deerfield, by $135,396 for the quarter ending June 30, according to releases from both campaigns.

Schneider, with $567,000 cash on hand for the Nov. 6 general election contest against Dold, currently has just over a quarter of the war chest Dold has accumulated since he was elected in 2010. The Congressman has $2.1 million in the bank.

For the quarter, Dold brought in $717,396 while Schneider raised $582,000, according to the news releases.

Since he stated his campaign, Schneider has accumulated $1,517,840 but had to spend heavily to win a contested four-way primary in March, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Without a contested primary, Dold began his fundraising efforts shortly after his election and has taken in $2,934,913 for the current election cycle, according to FEC reports.

Both Schneider and Dold raised the bulk of their money locally. Statewide donors provided 82 percent of Dold’s funds and 80 percent of Schneider’s money, according to the separate news releases. Sixty five percent of Schneider’s haul came from first-time donors.

The campaign promises to be an expensive one. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and other Democratic leaning groups have committed $5.7 million to advertising in the Chicago market for three contested House races after Sept. 1.

Republican groups have yet to reserve television time in the Chicago market.

In addition to the 10th Congressional District, the DCCC has targeted the 8th and 11th Districts.

Congressman Robert Dold does not steal any money from his employees. Those money belong to the Company and thus, to the owner. Besides, the overtime laws favor the lazy employees and I hope Congressman Dold will change them because paying an employee overtime might hurt the business up to the point of closing down.

Sorry, "Q"...Illinois Republicans are just as good at "rigging the game" as Illinois Democrats, and when a Republican governor is in, they do the very same "re-districting" as Democratic governors. For really Big Time rigging, though, you have to go to the national level and see the their rigging attempts in the November election to favor Romney via the Voter Supression laws they've enacted in states with Republican Governors, a fact which a couple of them have even been stupid enough to openly admit!

Oh Sure...One really DOES have to be warring on women, though, when one attempts mandatory & medically NON-necessary vaginal probes for women seeking abortions like the dumbass governor of Virginia tried, not an attempt by to outlaw hormonal BIRTH Control, by the finest mind Fifth Century, Rick Santorum..Then of course, there's the awful Republican Issa, who held a hearing on the legitmacy of birth control coverage in the affordable care act with men ONLY, having the gall to turn away even the ONE woman his "committee" found worthy to join them...But no, of COURSE, there's no "Republican war on women, LOL. Thank goodness, at least, that Santorum got sent back to the Dark Ages and Governor Probe had to rescind his law due to an ONSLAUGHT of protest by women in the congress and in his state. Obama is currently leading Romney by at least Ten points...Keep going, Repubs, we're loving it!

I love you Repubs....You are all "up in arms" -- nice choice of words -- about Planned Parenthood because 3 percent of its services go to abortions, but you have NO problem letting insane people like Holmes In Colorado order ASSAULT WEAPONS and their hundred shot magazines through the MAIL so they can take out Innocent people at a movie...,Duhh....And yeah, "Q", we "libs" are not only NOT against the Second Amerndment and "owning a firearm", some of us OWN THEM ourselves, like ME....Oh well, why tell the truth when lying works better, right?
