Endorsements Pile Up for Nick Sauer in Lake County Board Race

Editor's Note: Nick Sauer will face two other Republican candidates for Lake County Board, Dist. 17 -- Dan Quick of Wauconda and Mary Schorr of Wauconda. Incumbent Stevenson Mountsier is retiring. The following news release was provided by the Nick Sauer campaign.

Republicans from both Cuba Township and Wauconda Township have overwhelmingly endorsed Nick Sauer for Lake County Board, District 17 for the March 20th Illinois Primary Election. Together Cuba and Wauconda Township represent over 90 percent of GOP Primary voting households in District 17.

In the race for County Board, Republican Committeemen from both the Wauconda Township and Cuba Township Republican Clubs each met with individual candidates running for election to hear their campaign platforms and to ask direct questions. After interviewing GOP candidates in competitive elections, both GOP groups voted to endorse Nick Sauer for Lake County Board because of his private sector business experience and service on the Barrington 220 Board of Education.

“The residents of Lake County understand that I will fight for tax reform, less government spending, better business opportunities, job creation, conservation and transportation solutions. I'm honored to have earned the support of the Wauconda and Cuba Township Republican organizations and look forward to actively campaigning with their members. Together we will ensure all residents of District 17 are represented with common sense and conservative governing values” said Nick Sauer.
