The Village of Barrington, along with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), invite community members to attend the open house and public hearing concerning the study of a grade separation at the CN/EJ&E Railway Crossing at U.S. Route 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.

The purpose of the public hearing is to describe the process of comparing the "Alternatives Carried Forward" based on key evaluation criteria, present the "Preferred Alternative," and obtain feedback from stakeholders. This will be the final public hearing for this project and may be the public's last opportunity to provide feedback and input on the project.

When attending the meeting, please use the Main Street entrance to the high school, and enter the school building through Entrance 45.

Exhibits will be on display with Village of Barrington, IDOT, and consultant representatives present to answer any questions regarding the project.

Written or verbal comments will be accepted at the meeting. Written comments can also be mailed to the Village of Barrington or submitted via the project website by Feb. 12.

A copy of the Environmental Assessment report is available for inspection at the Village Hall and on the project website (us14-cn.com). A copy will also be available at the public hearing.
