Open House and Public Hearing Scheduled for Route 14 Grade Separation

The public is invited to provide feedback and input on a potential grade separation of Northwest Highway at the CN/EJ&E Railway at-grade crossing at an open house and public hearing on Jan. 29.

The Village of Barrington, along with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), invite community members to attend the open house and public hearing concerning the study of a grade separation at the CN/EJ&E Railway Crossing at U.S. Route 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St.

The purpose of the public hearing is to describe the process of comparing the "Alternatives Carried Forward" based on key evaluation criteria, present the "Preferred Alternative," and obtain feedback from stakeholders. This will be the final public hearing for this project and may be the public's last opportunity to provide feedback and input on the project.

When attending the meeting, please use the Main Street entrance to the high school, and enter the school building through Entrance 45.
