Congratulations and thank you to all the candidates for stepping up to serve our community. Now it is our responsibility to get to know the candidates, listen to the issues and ask them questions that are important to our future. Niles historically has had unopposed elections and years and years of low voter turn out. Well that has changed; we now have a choice. Lets all talk to families, neighbors and friends and encourage them to get involved and vote. Lets all work together to change the low voter turnout. Remember your local elected officials have a direct impact not only on the quality of life but on the way your hard earned tax dollars are spent. Maybe host a block area information gathering to talk about getting involved and "VOTE". We can together change the headlines of low voter turnout in Niles to record voter turnout. Its a new time so lets seize the moment and all get involved by voting. Regardless of the outcome we owe it to the canndidates. Thank you

The 2000 Presidential Election is proof that the USA is not a true democracy.
