Approved! Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Campus Modernization

Barrington, IL - Today the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved the Certificate of Need application for the Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Campus Modernization by a vote of 7-0.

 

“This is an exciting time for our community as we prepare Good Shepherd Hospital for a new generation of innovation in health care,” said Karen Lambert, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital President. “This modernization will improve the patient care experience by enhancing privacy, offering the most advanced technology and making it more convenient to access our inpatient and outpatient services.”

The modernization project plans include:

  • Enhanced Patient-Centered Care:  State-of-the-art private rooms for all patients-providing a quiet, calmer healing environment to help patients return home as quickly as possible and have the best experience possible.
  • State-of-the-art Technology: New operating rooms equipped with imaging equipment that enables surgeons to get almost-instant access to MRIs, CT scans and digital-X-rays during procedures.
  • Green Features: Green roofs will provide energy-conserving insulation and absorb rainwater.

 

The Good Shepherd Hospital campus modernization project is expected to break ground in the fall of 2013 with an estimated project completion in 2017.
