Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital offers Electronics Recycling to Community

Community Electronics Recycling - Drop Off at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, November 15

DRIVE UP AND DROP OFF: For the community:  Thursday, November 15th from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m.; 450 W. Hwy 22, Barrington, IL - Parking lot behind barn

How are the electronics recycled?

Electronics are processed through a large shredder that is 1/3 of a football field long, 2 stories high and 7 yards wide. During the shredding process the electronics are sorted into steel, aluminum, plastic and circuit boards and are sold to consumers for recycling.

Should I be concerned about sensitive information on computer hard drives?

Because Acme Electronic Recycling destruction process is shredding rather than dismantling, all confidential information is destroyed during our process.

What types of electronics can I bring to be recycled?

Acme Electronics Recycling recycles all electronics from computers and laptops to blenders and toasters. To see a complete list, just turn this flyer over!

How can I be sure Acme Electronics Recycling is the right company to use?

Acme is both ISO 14001 and R2 Certified which means we follow a comprehensive quality, environmental, and health & safety program ensuring your end of life electronics are handled responsibly.
