December 4, 6 - 8 pm

6:15 pm - Santa arrives by Barrington Fire Truck

6:45 pm - Twas the Night before Christmas will be read by a local firefighter

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Highway 22, Barrington

Photos, refreshments, story reading and holiday music

 

A to Z Literacy Movement partners with other nonprofit organizations to provide children’s books, teacher professional development, assistance with teacher salaries, and school lunch costs.

 

They believe in promoting the love of literacy by enriching children’s lives with literature early on in their schooling. A to Z Literacy Movement has shipped over 8,000 books to children in Zambia, Africa including: My Father’s House Orphan Homes, Calvary School, Shine Reading Academy, Hope Comm. School, Chishiko Comm. School, and Mango Grove Comm. School.

 

They have also sent shipments of books to Peace Corps volunteers helping to get schools up and running in Africa and Dominican Republic

 

Donate Books

A to Z Literacy Movement accepts new or gently used children’s books to help stock shelves at focus schools and orphan homes.
