Barrington High School Students Named National Merit Scholars

Two students were given the honor, the Daily Herald reports.

 

Two Barrington High School students have been given the Merit Scholar designation by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, the Daily Herald reports.  

  • Michael J. Borde, of Barrington and Barrington High School. Probable career field: Academia
  • Jihoon Kim, of Inverness and Barrington High School. Probable career field: Neuroscience

The students are three of 2,500 scholars nationwide. They were judged based upon “their abilities, skills, and accomplishments–without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, or religious preference,” according to the National Merit website.
