Barrington Transportation Company Questioned After Feb. 7 Incident

A North Barrington family is asking questions after their 3-year-old didn't get off of a Barrington Transportation Company school for more than three hours.

Barrington Transportation Company, the bussing service for District 220, is apologizing for an incident where a 3-year-old was not returned home from school for more than three hours, the Daily Herald reports.

The family of the Early Learning Center student got on the school bus at 3:40 p.m., on Feb. 7, but wasn't returned home until 7:08 p.m. The family told the Daily Herald that the school district and bussing company were not able to give them information on where the child was during this time. Blame was placed on a snow storm, mechanical problems, traffic and a high volume of phone calls by concerned parents as the reason for the mishap.
