Bronco Cheerleaders Clearly the Champs at Sectionals

Cheerleaders will compete in the state finals this weekend.

Barrington Broncos cheerleading squad finished first place in the co-ed division at the sectionals this weekend in Rolling Meadows. The team is now headed to the state championshps, which will be held in Blomington this weekend.

“This was definitely the best performance the kids had so far this year. They were the clear winners and points above the nearest competitor,” said Barrington varsity coach Laura Meehan. The cheerleading sectional competition was held at Rolling Meadows High School on Saturday.

“We are the co-ed sectional champs. That qualifies us to go down to the state finals along with the top five teams. Winning was the bonus,” Meehan said.

Meehan added that the Broncos cheerleaders have the second highest sectional score in the whole state.
