District 220 Welcomes 42 New Teachers

The new educators were greeted to the district at a new teacher orientation on Aug. 7.

 

There are 42 new teachers coming to the classrooms of the this year. The district welcomed these new educators in a special orientation on Aug. 7.

Some of them are veteran teachers with many years of experience and wisdom behind them, while others are recent college graduates, eager to take on their first job. They all have stories to share, and Barrington Patch will tell some of them over the next couple of weeks. We’ll introduce you to some of the people who will be teaching your children during their time at District 220.

, Superintendent of Barrington 220 School District, gave a warm welcome to the new teachers at the orientation. He emphasized the fact that everything the district does is about the betterment of the kids.

“We want to make sure you are successful; I want you to keep that in mind,” he said to the teachers. “You being successful is good for us. It’s good for the kids, it’s good for the parents, it’s good for everyone. Because the better you are in the classroom, you better you connect with kids, the better we’re all going to be.”
