Harper Team Beats Northwestern, MIT in NASA Competition
The team took fourth place nationally in a NASA rocket launch competition, the Daily Herald reports.
A Harper College team took fourth place at the NASA University Student Launch Initiative, the Daily Herald reports.
The team consisting of five Harper students and three DeVry students, beat out teams from Northwestern and MIT, the newspaper reports. The competition challenged students to make and launch a reusable rocket one mile above the ground, according to NASA.com. Harper college team members included: Scott Mueller, Craig Babiarz, Chris Wessel, Eric Meyers and Kevin Compton.
