Historic Photos of JFK Visit to Barrington Surface

Recently found historic photos of a campaign visit by John F. Kennedy to Barrington will be on display at the high school on Thursday, Nov. 21, which is the day before the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination, according to a District 220 press release. 

Joyce Taillon, a 1962 graduate of Barrington High School, found the photos in a family album and donated the pictures to the high school, according District 220. 

Prior to the discovery, there was only one known photo of Kennedy's October 1960 campaign visit to Barrington High School, according to the press release.

Following next Thursday's unveiling of the pictures, the photos will become a part of Barrington High School's Future Presidents Exhibit, according to the District 220 Facebook page. 

The images will be displayed from 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the high school, 616 W. Main Street in Barrington, according to the news release.
