Tickets for Barrington 220 Educational Foundation's 'Winter Blast' on Sale through Friday

Join the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation for its annual social fundraiser on Feb. 8 at the Biltmore Country Club. The RSVP date has been extended to Jan. 31.

Put on your warmest winter sweater and join the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation for "Winter Blast! A Night in the North Woods" at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at theBiltmore Country Club in North Barrington.

Tickets are $100 per person and will be available at www.220foundation.org through Friday, Jan. 31.

The event, benefitting the foundation, will feature indoor and outdoor winter-themed activities.

Chicago Motown and R&B band, Todd Hembrook and the Hemispheres will entertain guests, who will also enjoy light dinner fare and a cash bar. There will also be a live and silent auction.

If there is snow, there will be sledding on the golf course.

Auction highlights include:

  • A Rihanna-signed "Shines Bright Like a Diamond" trophy from Long & Co.—a custom made, black lacquer trophy with oversized diamond cut stone, signed by Rihanna and accompanied by the winning BHS-TV video and footage from Rihanna’s visit. 
  • Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant books, all signed by author and BHS alum, Veronica Roth, and a Divergent movie poster autographed by Veronica Roth.
  • Chicago Blackhawks hockey stick signed by all the members of the 2013-2014 team, accompanied by the Blackhawks certificate of authenticity.
  • Other great items will include a "Staycation in the Windy City" package; a "So you want to be a recoding star?" package with music lessons, recording studio session and tickets to WXRTs Live in Studio X; and many other sports and event tickets.

The Barrington 220 Educational Foundation encourages the community to come out and support this important organization, which raises money for school initiatives that enhance learning but are not otherwise supported by tax revenues.
