Barrington EPIC Cheerleaders Bring Home Medals

Park district cheerleading team is having a successful season.

Last weekend, own EPIC competitive cheerleaders brought home first place medals at a second consecutive meet. Competing against two other squads at the Cheer Champion Express, the EPIC team made Barrington proud, winning the Junior Level 3 division.
"I'm really proud of the girls and the hard work they've put in, especially considering the changes and additional skills we added since the last competition," said Coach Patty DiMonte.
This success comes on the heels of the team's wining performance at the Champion Spirit Competition in November. At that meet, the team won first place out of five teams. In addition to winning their own division, they were crowned Stunt Champions and Grand Champions for all level 3, 4 and 5 teams.
The team consists of 20 girls from the Barrington area and range in age from fourth grade to eight grade. This is the first year of competitive cheer for EPIC through the Barrington Park District.
EPIC performs again on January 29th at the Xtreme Spirit Grand Champion.
