Barrington High Golfers Headed to State

Shivani Majmudar and Reena Sulkar, both freshmen, will compete at Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur while junior Joey Batliner will play The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington.

Two Barrington High School golfers will be competing at the IHSA 3A state girls golf tournament this weekend.

Shivani Majmudar and Reena Sulkar, both freshmen, will compete at Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur on Friday and Saturday. Majmudar earned a trip to state after shooting an 81 at the Rockford sectional. Sulkar shot an 83 at the same sectional. 

Barrington High School's Joey Batliner will also be headed to state this weekend for golf. Batliner will compete at the boys state golf tournament at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington. 

Batliner, a junior, earned the trip at state after scoring a 76 at the boys golf sectional in Huntley. Josh Johnson, a senior from Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, had the lowest score during that tournament of 71.
