Barrington's Ben Calamari Places 5th at Wrestling State Meet
The BHS senior defeated a Marmion Academy wrestler to take fifth in the 285-pound weight class.
Congratulations to Barrington High School senior Ben Calamari, who placed fifth in his weight class at the wrestling state finals last weekend in Champaign.
The wrestler defeated Aurora's Alex Fritz of Marmion Academy 3-1 to claim the title, according to the Illinois High School Association.

Four other Barrington wrestlers qualified for the state finals but did not place:
- Miguel Camarena, 120 pounds
- Kevin Conrad, 132 pounds
- Coord Wiseman, 145 pounds
- Mark Shealy, 182 pounds
