Barrington Area Kid Fest

To celebrate June as Leave No Child Inside month, the 1st
annual Barrington Area Kid Fest - a fun-filled event combining the 11th annual Community Kite Fly and 2nd annual Family Nature Fest -will be Saturday, May 5, from 11am - 3pm in Citizens Park, 511 Lake Zurich Road (at Route 14) in Barrington. This family-oriented event is hosted by the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club, the Barrington Park District, and Leave No Child Inside of the
Greater Barrington and Lake Zurich area, three
community-oriented and non-profit organizations. If inclement weather occurs, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday, May 6, at the same time and location.


These three organizations along with Leave No Child Inside members and supporters such as the Barrington Area
Conservation Trust, Barrington Area Library, Barrington Cultural Arts Center, Boy and Girl Scouts, Care of Trees, Chicago Wilderness, Citizens for Conservation, Cook County Forest Preserve/Crabtree Nature Center, Davis Speed Center, Erewhon, Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, Friends of SpringCreek, Illinois Department of Resources, Indian Guides - Algonquin Longhouse, Lake County Forest Preserve, Nature Ladies, Quilt by Association, Ride for 3 Reasons, Smart Farm, South Barrington Conservancy, Water’s Edge Waldorf School, and many more will provide a wide assortment of action-packed recreational and educational activities designed for families to get outside with nature, have fun, and get fit! Be sure to bring your bicycle to decorate and then ride through Cuba Marsh to experience the beauty of nature. Oh, and did we say to come and enjoy the kite flying?

While you're there, enjoy some delicious food for purchase, check out our raffles, and celebrate spring outside under the sun! Proceeds to benefit area non-profits.
