BYFS' Summer Sports Connection Folkloric Dance Program

Barrington Youth & Family Services hosts its 5th annual Summer Sports Connection Folkloric Dance Program in partnership with Ballet Folklorico Huehuecoyotl of Elgin and Sunny Hill Elementary School at 2500 Helm Road, Carpentersville, IL from June 19th to July 26, 2012.  This program is made possible through funding by Barrington Area United Way.  The program is open to all 1st - 8th grade students attending Barrington Community Unit School District 220 schools, although it is not sponsored by Barrington CUSD 220.  Instruction in regional, Mexican folkloric dance and customs, as well as social-emotional activities, are incorporated into the program.  The program meets every Tuesday and Thursday during this six week period: 1st-3rd grade from 12:00-1:00 P,M, 4th-5th grade from 1:00-2:00 P.M. and 6th-8th grade from 2:00-3:00 P.M.  The program culminates with a folkloric dance recital and reception on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:30 P.M. at Sunny Hill School.  For more information, please contact BYFS at (847)381-0345 or contactbys@aol.com.
