Fillies Softball Team Clinches Third Place Victory

The Barrington High School softball team was victorious in the Illinois High School Association’s third place game over Elmhurst’s York High School this weekend.

The Varsity team beat York by a score of 5-1 Saturday in Peoria to earn a third place finish in the tournament. The Fillies fell to St. Charles East High School in the state semi-finals, narrowly missing the opportunity to play in the state championship game. The winner of the IHSA state tournament this year was Minooka High School, who won the final game against St. Charles East 14-3, according to the IHSA website.
