Kids Discover Prairies, Wetlands at Outdoor Day-Camp

Citizens for Conservation Youth Education invites curious children to be part of the fun and excitement at their Leave No Child Inside and STEM-oriented Day camp for children entering first and second grades. Camp is July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Children will explore the natural world through hands-on science in CFC’s award-winning Flint Creek Savanna. Discoveries will include  plants, bugs, mammals, amphibians, birds and more. Campers will discover prairies, savannas and wetlands, follow trails and enjoy a stream.

Camp is held rain or shine at CFC headquarters, 459 West Highway 22, in Lake Barrington.  Look for the white farmhouse with a silo.  Camp fee is $100 for members and $150 for non-members.  Registration forms are found on the Youth Education page on CFC’s website, www.citizensforconservation.org.
