Let the Fourth of July Celebration Begin

Get all the details for opening day.

Barrington is kicking off its 29th annual Fourth of July festivities under the Brat Tent on Wednesday, July 3.

The Brat Tent, located in the Barrington Metra Station parking lot on Spring Street, opens at 5 p.m. It closes at 11:30 p.m.

The party continues through July 6 with activities, food and bands each day.

Wednesday’s schedule:
  • Patriotic Dog Tags, 5-9 p.m
  • Giant Slide & Jacobs Ladder, 5-9 p.m.
  • Face Painting, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Between the Lines concert, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • The Suburban Cowboys concert, 8:30-11:30 p.m.
The cost

A Kids’ Daytime Special is $5 for kids age 3 and over from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults are free. Kids have access to all activities plus a hot dog, chips and soda.

The evening admission is $5 for adults after 6 p.m., children 17 and under are free.
