Memorial Day Weekend Planner

Bring the family to this annual event in downtown Barrington. Enjoy the art from more than 140 juried artists from around the world, grab a bite to eat, and have fun outside this Memorial Day weekend. The festival runs from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at Cook and Station Streets. Admission is free.

Participate in the 4-mile trail run, 5k walk or junior dash events on Sunday, May 26. Proceeds from the event benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Those who want to participate can sign up at Viking Ski Shop until 3 p.m. Saturday, or sign up the day of the event at Citizens Park. The trail run starts at 8 a.m.

Memorial Day Parade & Services

Salute the veterans of Barrington this Memorial Day by watching the procession at 10:30 a.m. The parade begins at Cook, Park and Station Streets, and will move west along Main Street to Dundee Avenue and end at Evergreen Cemetery for a memorial service.

Barrington Park District Pool Opens

The pool opens on Saturday, May 26. Hours Saturday through Monday are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The pool will be closed Tuesday, May 29 through June 2. See www.barringtonparkdistrict.org for pool hours and admission fees throughout the summer.
