Beat the Heat at the Lake Barrington Field House Summer Camp

Beat the Heat at the Lake Barrington Field House Summer Camp! 175,000 Sq.Ft of Summer Camp Fun in the shade!

Our Summer Campers have been enjoying the cool indoors for the first 3 weeks of camp here at the LBFH. This summer, more than 400 campers will participate in 9 weeks of camp. Our Sports of All Sorts camps have themes and the first camps were focused around Harry Potter and Survivor Camp. This week the kids are battling it out across the turf in the Amazing Race. There is still time to register for the Avenger's Camp that takes place the week of July 9th along with Football Camp! Basketball and Poms Dance Camp swing back in to action on July 16th, you can register on line or call 847 387-1516.

Two NEW camps are now available for the week of August 6th-August 10th: Softball camp from 9-12, and Baseball camp from 1-4, both indoors on our cool indoor baseball turf! Registration opens on June 29th.

From my 8 years working in child program development, I can tell you that summer camp, whether day camp or sleep away camp, is a great experience for kids.  They can make new friends, get to know kids who are different from them and build their self confidence by trying new things they haven't done before. According to research conducted by ACA(American Camp Association) 63 percent of children who learn new activities at camp tend to continue engaging in these activities after they return home. This leads to continued physical exercise that lasts a lifetime.
