Noon Rotary Club Welcomes New President

The club inaugurated Joseph Kelsch Sr. as its 51st president on June 15.

The Noon Rotary Club of Barrington welcomed a new president to the organization this month.

Joseph Keslch Sr., of Barrington, was inaugurated as the 51st president of the Noon Rotary Club on June 15. Kelsch takes over for Reese Mates who served as president last year.

“As club president, I believe my central role is to champion the core purpose of Rotary, to encourage and foster the ideal of ‘service above self’ so that working together, we can better serve our community and world,” Kelsch said.

Kelsch has admitted that his job won’t be an easy one. At least one-third of the Noon Rotary Club of Barrington’s members are former club presidents or officers, making his new position quite challenging. However, members of the club don't doubt his ability to take charge.

"Joe is definitely a person who gets things done. He is the kind of leader every organization enjoys and needs. Behind his talk about goals and service, there is always a plan of action," Rotarian Carol Beese said.
