Spend Earth Day Perserving Barrington's Natural Habitat
Kids are invited to this Citizens for Conservation Earth Day event.
Help your children learn about preserving Barrington’s natural habitats on Earth Day this year.
Citizens for Conservation is holding a Leave No Child Inside class on April 7 at the conservation-owned Flint Creek Savanna South. Participants will be taking part in plant restoration and learning why it’s important. They will also receive an educational poster showing native prairie plants, mammals, birds, and insects that make a restored woodland and prairie their home.
The class will take place from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. and is open to children ages 6 and up. Caregivers are required to attend. CFC members are free, and non-members are $5 for the first child and $1 for each additional child. Please register by April 4 online, by calling 847-382-SAVE or email youth-ed@citizensforconservation.org
